To achieve the coveted black shirt, which set the more advanced and experienced students of WingChun apart, there are special requirements to guarantee the high quality standard of the IAW. Therefore, to test in the upper level is only allowed to those who regularly, at least 2 times a week, attend WingChun instruction. This consistent participation (for the past 12 months) must be confirmed by the responsible instructor before any examination. Furthermore, before any subsequent test, a screening by the training instructor must be passed. The preliminary examination (Pre-Test) evaluates both the current program and all programs of previous levels. Checklist before the 9 Student Level Test - Regular class attendance for the past 12 months (to be confirmed in the Pre-Test). - Weapon combat skills recorded as at least 1 Escrima seminar in passport (not required for regular Escrima students). - Learning and practice of combat programs (training is offered quarterly). - Pre-Test by the training instructor (at least 4 weeks before the Test).
Upper Level
